- Compare exact input and output sizes before downloading.
02 / DETAILS
About this conversion
Try a conservative PDF re-save, then optionally rasterize pages with a chosen quality if a smaller file is needed. The result is measured against the original.
PDF compression is content-dependent. Re-saving may not reduce a file. Raster compression can shrink scanned or image-heavy documents but sacrifices selectable text, vector detail, and sometimes quality. The tool reports the byte counts and never claims a reduction when the result is larger.
Limits to know
Files are processed in this browser session. Each input is limited to 40 MiB and 120 pages; password-protected, damaged, or unusual PDFs may not open.
Processing runs in this browser. Originals are not overwritten, and the output size is measured in bytes before download. Keep a backup of important files.
03 / FAQ
Questions people ask
Will every PDF become smaller?
No. Structure and existing compression determine whether saving reduces bytes. A larger result is labeled honestly.
What is lost in raster mode?
Text is no longer selectable or searchable, and vector details become pixels. Keep the original if you need those properties.
